At Spawn Fly Fish, we’re passionate about more than just the art of fly fishing—we’re dedicated to the stories, experiences, and people that bring the fishing community to life. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce our newest hire and welcome Maddie to the Spawn Fly Fish family.
Maddie’s journey to Spawn Fly Fish is as dynamic as the waters she’s fished. Growing up in Alaska, she honed her skills chasing salmon, Dolly Varden, and exploring the deep sea fisheries of the Last Frontier. Her love for fishing didn’t stop there. After moving to Montana, Maddie discovered her passion for fly fishing, spending countless hours exploring the Missouri River and its tributaries, chasing trout year-round.
College brought Maddie a unique opportunity to reconnect with anadromous fish as a deckhand in Ketchikan, rekindling her passion for coastal fishing. This experience, combined with her deep appreciation for the sport, ultimately brought her to the Pacific Northwest, where she’s embraced the challenge of balancing her work as an environmental engineer with her enduring love for the water.
Now, as a valued member of the Spawn Fly Fish team, Maddie brings her expertise, enthusiasm, and unique perspective to our shop. Her lifelong connection to fishing, from the icy waters of Alaska to the rugged rivers of Montana and the vibrant fisheries of the PNW, reflects the spirit and dedication we strive for every day at Spawn Fly Fish.
We’re excited to have Maddie on board and can’t wait to see how her story continues to unfold.
