Hareline Cactus Chenille is a type of fly tying material used primarily to create the body of a fly.  The material is available in various colors and thicknesses, we offer two sizes here at Spawn and every color that Hareline currently makes.

Hareline Cactus Chenille is a popular material among fly tyers due to its versatility and ease of use. It is commonly used to create bodies for patterns such as woolly buggers, streamers, as well as some nymphs. Its shaggy texture and translucency can give flies a lifelike appearance, imitating the natural movement of underwater insects and baitfish.

In addition to its visual appeal, Hareline Cactus Chenille is also durable and long-lasting. It is resistant to water absorption and fraying, ensuring that flies tied with this material will hold up to repeated use.

It has also gained popularity amongst jig tiers for species such as bass and crappie. For jigs it is used in a similar fashion to create the bodies of a jig.
