The Tibor Riptide Fly Reel delivers controlled performance for saltwater fly fishing.
The Tibor Riptide is a 9-10-11 fly reel with a large arbor spool, sealed internal parts, and an impregnated cork disc drag system. Its open perforated spool and drum help the reel remain cool during long runs, while detented drag adjustment provides smooth, positive control.

- After each use, rinse Tibor reels thoroughly in fresh water.
- Periodically, especially after extensive exposure to saltwater, remove the line and backing and wipe them down with a wet cloth to remove salt.
- To disassemble the reel for cleaning, the only tool required is a penny.
- All reels are lubricated at the factory before assembly, and relubrication is generally not necessary.
- Tibor Graphite Lube may be used to lubricate the cork drag disc.
- Exceeding the recommended capacity by over-filling the spool and/or putting line on too tightly or with too much tension may damage the spool and is not covered under warranty.
- Use the capacity chart as your guide.
- Monofilament line is not recommended for use on Tibor reels.
